A grand city built around the walls of the Crater of Myrsh. A city of great wealth at its upper levels, down to poverty in the depths of the city as it mixes into the upper layers of the Underdark. The vast city is traversed almost exlusively by steam powered trains and lifts that move between different levels. A city that never sleeps, a city shrouded in mystery and on the cusp of great danger.
The city is Governed by a council of three elected Governors, who each manage on of the districts. To maintain peace in the city, they maintain the city watch known as the Sunkeepers.
The Illnerya College of Mages is an exclusive location which allows entry only to those on official business, or members to the guild. It is guarded by a gargoyle connected to the gates, which manages a magical barrier to deny entry to anyone without permission to enter.
The guild is known to maintain a commisary for the rental and purchase of magical supplies and spells. The college accepts talented students from not only this continent, but also other continents. Not all magical arts are freely practiced here, with the practices of Necromancy leading to the potential expulsion of students who go too far in their experiments. The College does host Amoral Tamlish as the Archmage of the Department of Demonology.
The alchemists guild is exclusive to those with the skills and the currency to pay their membership fee. The effort exclusively legal access to a number of the tools and supplies required for an alchemists to succeed in their trade. They specifically consider the manufacturing of poisons to be a restricted art.
The Guild regularly outsources adventurers through the Sunkeepers, to seek rare components in the mines and Underdark in the depths of the city. They pay well for these items, as many of those known as Dwelvers risks their lives for a glorious payday.
A tavern located in the city of Illnerya and the original accomodations used by The Veiled Vanguard in their early adventurers. The tavern is run by Mari, a woman with a myterious past.
