LICH SOULS GAMING TURNS 20: A WEEK OF CELEBRATION, AN 18-HOUR ANNIVERSARY STREAM, AND A COMMUNITY-WIDE RAFFLE

September 2026 — This month, Lich Souls Gaming celebrates 20 years as a community — and we're marking it with a full week of events, capped off by an 18-hour anniversary stream and a soul-powered raffle giveaway. HOW IT STARTED The community traces back to 2006, when it began as a RuneScape clan called the Dark Dragons, organized out of an online forum by a group of friends — including founder Lichsouls, then just eleven years old and in the sixth grade. The exact founding date wasn't even known for years; it was only rediscovered when old Yahoo Instant Messenger logs surfaced, capturing the original conversation where the clan was formed. In 2018, the group shifted its focus toward indie gaming and rebranded as Black Lotus Gaming. That evolved into Prestige Gaming Community, and today the group is known as Lich Souls Gaming. Through every name change, one thing has stayed the same: this was never a business. Lich Souls Gaming exists for one reason — to give people a place to come together and play games for the entertainment they bring. Lichsouls remains the face of the community and its featured streamer, while co-owner Kyle runs the backend and development work behind the scenes. Both continue to fund the community out of pocket to keep it running.
